This musem contains a collection of some 40 menhirs, located both indoor and outdoor, dating back to the pre-nuragic age, including proto-anthropomorphic and anthropomorphic menhir, male and female statue-menhir which have been called protoanthropomorphic and anthropomorphic. Some are "armed.”

This is an absolutely marvelous museum with dozens of carved menhirs from around the district.
