Rock Cut Tombs in Sardinia (Sardegna). The necropolis of Monte Zara consists of six domus de janas (Late Neolithic rock-cut tombs) located east of the town of Monastir. The tombs are scattered in a rocky massif of hills overlooking the town and later Nuragic settlement of Bia ‘e Monti. Two of the tombs (no. 1 and 2) in the northern part of the massif are located close to each other, others are in more isolated locations.
