Nuraghe in Sardinia (Sardegna)

Remains of a Nuragic complex of Monte Leonaxi are located NE of Villagreca, on the top of a significant hill. Lower parts of the walls of the main tower are still distinguishable. The site was occupied in Middle Bronze Age (1400 BC), but the excavations provided evidence for later occupation in Punic and Roman period, as well as between 6th and 7th century AD. The major finds from the complex are sherds of Nuragic and Punic pottery.

The complex originally included the main tower with entrance bastion and possibly the antemural.
