Seleutas Mountain Sphinx submitted by Ulfenvald : Site in Kazakhstan, Seleutas Sphinx (Vote or comment on this photo)
Rock formation in Kazakhstan. A russian archaeologist L.S. Marsadolov states, that it appears to be a heavily eroded yet massive granite sphinx, larger than the Great Sphinx of Egypt.

Not much research has been completed on the site yet, and its origin is still unknown.

Has anyone heard of this site before? Any more information on this site would be greatly appreciated. I would be very interested to read more about it. Also, who thinks it's a natural formation and who thinks it's an artificial sculpture as the research papers seem to indicate?
