One of the most beautiful nuraghi of Macomer area is located east from Silanus, on the top of a large hill. It's 12,6 m high and it is a perfect example of the Bronze Age tholos style nuraghe with an entrance bastion.

You can reach the site by following the road from Silanus - the nuraghe will be perfectly visible on the top of the hill. I recommend visiting Nuraghe Madrone at sunset or sunrise - it's great location makes the rays of sun giving the golden colour to the walls of the monument ...
