The neolithic passage grave at Bad Oeynhausen-Werste had been mostly destroyed in the late 19th century. In the years 1926 and 1979 it was restored and partly reconstructed.
The tomb has been transferred a few meters to its recent localisation.
The chamber is orientated approximately West-East,
with the entrance at the southern long side.
However due to the transfer of the tomb it seems to be unsure, whether the orientation exactly represents the original state or not.
Due to safety aspects a capstone of the western part of the chamber is supported by an additional modern iron pole.
