Stone Circle in Zürich

Stone circle found buried in 1953 consisting of at least 5 stones with more in the center and lying to the side. To reach the site take tram 15 to its terminus at Bucheggplatz and walk up through Käferberg park to the new water reservoir at the top of the hill.

Just to be clear regarding the above comment: this is NOT a megalithic site.

The stones were put there as a lark by modern building crews. An assessment from 1978 suggesting that the stones showed signs of ancient modification is no longer considered accurate. They are natural sand stone boulders found during construction work in the 1950s, which were then arranged to mimic an ancient stone circle.

This stone circle was erected after 1953, when sand stone blocks were found during work for a water reservoir.
