The remains of 25 houses were excavated between 1981 and 1986 in Bielefeld-Sieker (North Rhine-Westphalia/Germany). The settlement was built by the Germans and was used from the late Iron Age (ca. 1rst century BC) to Medieval times (ca. 1100 AD).

The position of one of the Germanic byre-dwellings is marked for vistors. Granite blocks have been placed on the spots where the postholes of the former timber post had been found. The house is 22 m long and 6.30 m broad.

The archaeologists found the waste of the former settlement in the nearby creek. Moreover, 55 Germanic graves have been found in the nearby modern cemetery between 1960 and 1973.
