This white standing stone is believed to be a iron age phallic stone. It is standing just next to a large burial cemetery, there are several on the small island Kuli but since phallic stones are rare I wanted to put it in a different site.
The stone itself is standing in a small round elevated part of the ground and in this elevated part of ground it can be seen smaller stones. (stone setting?) In the outer part of this elevated part there are larger stones in a semi-circle. This could be a part of a circular stone setting around the phallic stone.
The stone is grey-white to almost white and around 90cm in height. It is 70-80 cm wide and has an almost 5 sided cross section. The top has 7 sides that seems to meet each other in a "fasett" shape. It seems that the stone have been prepared and shaped by hands into this shape.
The vegetation in this part of the island is low and only wish small grass and moss, making the stone visible from far away and from here there is also a beautiful view over the sea! To get to the stone there is a 20-30 minute walk from the road with no tracks or footpaths but the low vegetation and flat ground makes it easy to walk to the north side of the island where the stone is located.
