High above, hidden in a little forest you can find 3 big rocks with cups on its top. The function of these is unknown. No info could be found.
It’s remarkable that almost all rocks with cups as well as rock plateaus with basins are situated at least elevated, in the majority on top of the highest mountain in the surrounding area.
The rocks are in fact in the middle of nowhere and the way up is very steep, but then you can enjoy a nice view.
The coordinates refer to the centre of the 3 rocks
Oben auf dem Berg bei Gremmelsbach in einem kleinen Wäldchen versteckt liegen 3 große Felsbrocken mit jeweils mehreren tiefen Ausschalungen.
Welchem Zweck diese gedient haben mögen, ist unbekannt. Es gibt keine Informationen hierzu.
Jedenfalls ist auffällig, daß sich Schalensteine und auch Felsplateaus mit eingearbeiteten Becken bis auf ganz wenige Ausnahmen zumindest immer oben, meist sogar am höchsten Punkt der jeweiligen Umgebung befinden.
Der Weg zu den Steinen bei Gremmelsbach ist sehr steil. Aber dafür gibt es auch eine schöne Aussicht!
