This rock art site is different from many rock art sites in Scandinavia because the pictures have not been carved into the rock, but painted on the rock using some kind of red paint. The rock art is located on a vertical cliff wall in a very steep mountain side overlooking the sea. The footpath is narrow and goes around the mountainside from a parking lot and then it leads very steeply down to the rock art site.
The rock art consists of four large pictures of fish, probably salmon based on the shape of the fish, and the remains of another. The pictures are around 1 metre in length and around 40cm wide. They are all painted in some sort of red paint. At the rock panel are also two large holes, almost over-sized cup marks, it is uncertain however if these holes are made of humans or are the result of some natural influence. The rock art is believed to be from the stone age, around 4000BC. Even today the sea under the rock art is a popular place for salmon fishing.
