E.Müller reported the destruction of a megalithic tomb near Meyerhof farm in 1868. Most probably the remains of this site were discovered in 1971 when a sports ground was extended.

The site was excavated by H.G. Peters. It was impossible to get an idea of the original groundplan, but a larger amount of pottery fragments and several flint axes (Drawings of the findings are shown in [2] page 32). The findings are at Heimatmuseum Bad Rothenfelde and Kulturgeschichtliches Museum Osnabrück
