Rock Art in Baden-Wuerttemberg

This supposed celtic ritual place is very impressive, especially because of the couch made of stone which is 50 m away and looks straight on the ritual place. You are seating very well on it and there is no doubt that in ancient times it was manufactured as comfortable as possible. Just consider the head-rest!
The place itself is an accumulation of stones. Worth seeing is the sacrificial stone altar.
There is as well a stone formation which reminds to a dolmen, but it’s just an impression myself.


Der vermutlich keltische Opferplatz ist sehr beeindruckend, nicht zuletzt wegen des etwa 50 m entfernt stehenden Steinsofas mit ausgearbeiteten Kopfstützen, das genau auf diesen Platz blickt. Der Platz selbst besteht aus einer Anhäufung aus Steinen, die ungeordnet umher liegen, was jedoch sicher einmal anders war. Besonders sehenswert ist neben dem Sofa auch die Opferschale, recht groß und imposant.
Es gibt noch eine Steinanordnung, die entfernt an einen Dolmen erinnert. Man erkennt leider nicht mehr, ob es sich wirklich einmal um einen solchen gehandelt hat.
Das Sofa selbst ist die Attraktion des Platzes. Man sitzt sehr gut darauf und es besteht kein Zweifel, daß diese Sitzgelegenheit einst so bequem wie möglich gestaltet wurde. Darauf weisen allein schon die Kopfstützen hin!
Ein wirklich sehr faszinierender Ort....!!
