The Gräberfeld der Rössener Kultur Jechtingen is a cemetery of the Neolithic Rössen Culture in Sasbach am Kaiserstuhl (Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany). It dates from 4900 – 4500 BC.
The cemetery was discoverd at a vineyard in 1973. Within an area of 100 m x 30 m 82 burials were dicovered. Not the entire cemetery has been unearthed yet. All the dead were buried in the same direction, stretched in supine position. The head is in each case in the west, facing east. All graves contained ceramic. Pierced animal teeth and shell discs occur only sporadically. Common forms of jewelry are hand chains of limestone and shell beads, as well as necklaces made of pearls. Only men had weapons and flint stones.
Some of the finds of the Gräberfeld der Rössener Kultur Jechtingen are exhibited in the Archäologisches Museum Colombischlössle in Freiburg im Breisgau.
