On a forested hill on the island of Bolsøya is a large and very wide stone circle. It is located in a fir tree forest and at the edge of a large grassy field. In the south east the stone circle meets a old stone fence and one of the boulders making up the circle is inside the stone fence. In one part of the stone circle there is a tight forest of smaller trees but the stones making up the circle are easily visible even here.
The stone circle is wider than most stone circles, almost 25 metres in diameter. It consists of 9 large boulder or standing stones. Two of the stones have fallen down or toppled over in later years. One of them is 1,5 metres long and around 70cm wide.
The stones still standing is around 1 to 1,2 metres in height and 50-60cm thick. They mostly have rounded tops. The stones are from 3 to 4 metres between them.
