The forest of Mont St. Odile is one of the most magical locations I have ever visited. While walking you sometimes feel like being in a fairy tale because of the natural finished forest with its lovely paths, the moss and mushrooms, wooden cut figures, the silence and loneliness.
In addition there are lots of fascinating relics of forgotten times which make it much more interesting. The complete circular walk is 18 km long, it’s better to split it up in two days. You can spend a cheap night at the Abbey. The mountain is surrounded completely by an ancient wall (Heidenmauer) which is conserved very well excepting a few parts.
Furthermore you will pass castles, a couch made of stones, impressing rock formations, tooled stones and basin/holed rocks, a dolmen and other interesting things.
A walk could not be more diversified!
The coordinates refer to the Abbey, the starting point.
