Heidenschloss
Heidenschloss submitted by AlexHunger : Heidenschloss Also known as Husenacker. Hillfort, possibly Iron Age. Area where archeology has been undertaken is surrounded by fence, so no close ups possible. Only a few stones visible. Area is frequented by hunters in lookouts, so try to stay visible with bright clothing during season. Also major hike up a hill, so bring compass and or map as well as water bottle. Not for faint hearted. (Vote or comment on this photo)
Ancient Settlement in Bas Rhin

Celtic Settlement near shelter above D224 between Romanswiller and Wangenbourg. The site of archeological digs is now surrounded by a fence with only a few loose stones visible. Signs of heavily eroded defensive walls visible lower on hill. Some natural stones look like they have been set up lower down on the hill. This requires a major hike in the woods, so bring water bottle, map, compas or GPS in order not to get lost. Also wear bright clothing in season as area is frequented by hunters who have their platforms nearby. 446 Meters altitude.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Positional co-ordinates taken from a gps fix

Address: D224, 67310
