The jump of Prince Charles
The jump of Prince Charles submitted by IndianaStones : Cartruts (Vote or comment on this photo)
The jump of Prince Charles (don’t confuse with the Prince of Wales!) There is a legend here that the horse of the prince jumped over the cliff and left behind the clues of horse shoes. But in reality this place is more than mysterious, not least because of the cart ruts which are as deep as those in Malta

Together with the cave on one side with its steps you have the impression of a railway station.

The cart ruts continue up and down the hill but are less visible. They end after a few meters (or continue below ground?). Where do they lead to?! No one knows.

The rock formation behind the cave looks like it was formed as a head of an Indian. But going on the other side one notice that it’s just a natural stone art, although one can’t believe it really.

The whole place is that strange and exciting that it is a MUST for everyone who is interested in ancient megalithic times.

The coordinates refer to the starting point. You have to pass by the entrance of the botanical garden (not enter to the garden!) at the right hand side.

Note: A very mysterious place - who carved these ruts - does anyone know?

The real names of this site are "Saut du Prince Charles" or "Karlssprung Felsen".
I suggest not to use English translations of local site names as main site name. In cases like this an English translation of the site name may be provided in the description.

You are right. It was one of my first sites I placed here and as it is an English page I thought it would be better to translate it. But meanwhile I learned that's better to leave the description in original language. Thanks for your advise.

I have added Saut du Prince Charles and Karlssprung Felsen as alternate names. They will all come up in a search so the name is OK to stay as it is but you will know for next time. Thanks.
