The barrow cemetery is situated in a forest called Königsforst in the west of the city Rösrath-Kleineichen. It lies in close distance to the Mauspfad ("Mouse Path"), an ancient trackway. The cemetery extends from the north to the south of the road Rösrather Straße.
The barrows can be easly detected in the terrain, especally the biggest one next to the small parking area. They can be dated to the Hallstatt Period of the Iron Age. Some of the finds can be seen at the Roemische-Germanisches Museum in Cologne.
Approximately 1,5 km in the northwest lies another barrow cemetery.
