The shell stone has more than 90 shells, but they are predominantly weathered. These are between 3 and 10 cm in diameter and some 5 cm deep. The stone was discovered in the 19th Century.

This ritual site overlooks the Jolimont, Vully, the lakes Biel and Neuchâtel. A delightful place to stay.

Jahrhundert. entdeckt. Dieser Kultplatz überblickt den Jolimont, Mont Vully, sowie Bieler- und Neuenburgersee. Ein herrlicher Ort zum Verweilen.

Could it be that this is the same site like "Combes Schalenstein" site 671m to the west, or is the "Combes Schalenstein" a different cup-marked stone?

671m to the west there is no shell stone, the position is totally wrong in the site "Combes Schalenstein", the informations are also incorrect.
