Standing Stones in Møre og Romsdal

This site consists of two very nice shaped standing stones. The smallest is located inside a private garden with garden trees around it. The other one is located on a grassy hill next to the road crossing in a small village just some metres away from the road.

The smallest stone inside the garden is around 1,2 m in height, around 1 m wide and around 30cm thick. It has shape of a standing slab. It almost appears to have been sliced off. It is around 10 metres away from the house.

The largest stone is around 3 metres in height, around 50cm wide and around 20cm thick. It has also shape of a standing slab. The top of the stone is shaped like a point. It is standing straight and not tilting.

From the site there is a beautiful view over the small fjord called Hjørungavåg, it is the site of a semi-legendary battle between the Earls of Lade and a Danish invation fleet. it is doubtful however if the stones had anything with to do with the battle.
