The Buchenloch cave in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany was inhabited by Neanderthals in the Palaeolithic. Its occupation continued through the Neolithic to the Iron Age - some artefacts from these periods have been found.

The cave is 30 m long and 4 m wide.
