Ancient Village or Settlement. An important Gallo-roman settlement (vicus) between Trier and Metz. The name "Ricciaco" was inscribed in the "Peutingertafel", a copy of an ancient streetmap. In the 19th century a treasure of 24.000 coins was found. Today there are some reconstructed houses and a theatre can be visited.
