21 Beehive tombs dating to 3rd Milenium BCE in Ancient Magan, now Oman, which traded Copper and Diorite with the Sumerians. Unexcavated at the time of listing in 1987. Photos by Drew Parsons

Unesco World Heritage site.

Additional Information submitted by Drew Parsons in September 2014: To reach the site turn north off the main Ibri to Bahla road and drive through Alma to Al Ayn village. Here take the Wadi Al Ayn Road and park in the mosque car park below the site. Cross the road and the small wadi next to it and walk between the fenced fields/gardens on a zig zag route to reach a wide and usually dry wadi from where the tombs are visible on the ridge above you. Cross this wadi and make your way up the hill to the ridge to reach the site.

These "tombs" sure look like the charcoal kilns I've seen in the American South West, and since this was a metal mining area also, I'd suggest that this is what these are.
