Chambered Tomb in United Arab Emirates
Long, narrow tomb with an entrance on one side built of locally available stone of the 'Wadi Suq' period tomb dating to beween 2000 to 1300 BCE. Shimal is a village in the lee of the Hajar mountains just north of Ras al-Khaimah city and south of Rams. There was also mid-second to early first millennium BC settlement excavated in the mid-1980s by a team from the University of Göttingen in Germany. Pottery, soft-stone vessels, bronze or copper weaponry, and bead artifacts were found.
