Standing Stone (Menhir) in Hordaland
This standing stone was once located in the centre of a large three-pointed burial cairn. It was triangular shaped, around 0.5 metres in height and each side around 14 metres long. The cairn has later been lost due to construction of modern housings and roads. The beautiful huge standing stone was removed but later placed on its original place.
The standing stone is a beautiful stone! It is tall, around 4.5 metres in height, 80cm wide and 20cm thick. It was recently covered in garden climbing plants, but was recently cleaned. it has a straight cut off top. Just next to the stone is the road and a private house.
