Burial Chamber (Dolmen) in Liège

At the beginning of the 19th century, on the square at the centre of the hamlet Bouni (now incorporated in Fléron), a few stones were reported as lying on top of some others protruding from the ground ; the whole looked like a dolmen.

Today, only three stones have survived, hardly noticed at the foot of a slope.

A signpost placed next to them proclaims the name : Dolmen de Bouni.

Note : being locally called "Dolmen", this site is filed as "Burial Chamber (Dolmen)", although it has never played such a role in its present state, if at all previously.
