Modern Monoliths in Province of Luxembourg, Belgium.
Monument in pink marble from Vila Viçosa, Portugal, created by Charters de Almeida (born 1935) and presented to the City of Houffalize on the occasion of the Exhibition Europalia-Portugal of 1991.
It consists of a portico surrounded by twelve uprights (symbolising the then 12 member-states of the European Union) lined-up along a half-circle, the whole being seemingly freely inspired by Stonehenge.
