The Archéoforum de Liège is an archaeological museum in Liège.
A small quantity of artefacts from the Neanderthalian era onward are displayed, but the main interest of the museum is the result of excavations of the former cathedral, destroyed (but first thoroughly looted and the "proceeds" shipped to France) during the French revolutionary régime imposed upon Belgium from 1794 onward.
Liège rose to prominence in the late period of the Roman Empire. In the Middle Ages, Liège became the capital of the powerful Principality of Liège until the eruption of the French revolution and its invasion of neighbouring countries.

Place Saint-Lambert is the very heart of Liège, bang on.
