Five Cairns in Rogaland, Norway
The barrow cairns on Utbjoa are located on several rocky outcrops or hilltops with a very good view over the sea. They are all believed to be from the bronze age or early iron age. Most of them are heavily overgrown with moss and smaller vegetation and can be difficult to see in the terrain, but some information signs have been posted and in one of the cairns it is a open and visible stone chamber made of large stone slabs.
According to the sign poster it is five cairns on utbjoa, I could find four of them, they vary in size from 8 to 12 metres in diameter and from 1 to 1,5 metres in height. Most of them have big craters on the top.
At the start of the footpath leading to the cairns in a small bay is three marks after boat houses. The houses are from 10 to 20 metres in length but have been almost destroyed by some modern boat houses. They can be very difficult to see in the high grass.
