Bābā Jān Tepe is an ancient settlement in Loristan, Iran.
The tepe is a saddle shaped pair of mounds excavated in the 1960's to reveal settlement going back to the late fourth millennium BC through to the Achaemenid era. Finds included painted tiles and pottery, some of it comparable to the Godin Tepe finds (see the Megalithic Portal page for Godin Tepe near Kangavar). Excavations uncovered what is taken to be a fort and painted chamber assumed to be part of a manor. In the 8th century BC a fire destroyed this complex and thereafter settlement was more irregular. The site is located to the south east of Bābā Jān village which itself is 7 kilometres south west of the joint township of Nurabad/Delfan on the main road from Harsin to Khorramabad in Loristan, Iran.
