Natural Stone / Erratic / Other Natural Feature in Russia

Is this huge granite boulder in the sacred tract Molyana on Kanerga the river to the south-east of the Kavley village. The dimensions of the boulder hit for the Nizhny Novgorod region is a great rarity.
The stone has a coarse crystal structure, granite conglomerate. What is it the exact magnitude is impossible to say, for this it is necessary to at least dig out completely. Surface measurements give approximate dimensions of 3.1 x 2.6 meters, but with a raised edge of the sod, it is clear that it is still expanding underground. Even rough estimates give this stone the weight of 26 tons.

The concept of "natural boundary" - implies that there was or had been a ancient settlement of people. Indeed, a small clean river Kanerga (perhaps a few hundred years ago it was much more full-flowing), the purest springs and streams, high, dry beach, comfortable arable land, forest - all said that there lived people, and it can perhaps go and do not only Mordovians-Erzya, but also even more ancient peoples (oldest Rus).

Aspecial highlight of this sacred tract is a huge boulder around which is located Mordvinian ancient sanctuary, which is a circular clearing about 80 meters in diameter. In the middle of the clearing is an ancient stone, which is named "Granova".

Since ancient times this prayer grounds was a major religious and cultural center.

Tract mole and Granova (Molyansky) stone - amazing mystical and sacred place of power of Nizhny Novgorod Region.
