Menhir from Galicia, reworked by the sculptor Manolo Paz and presented by the Government of Galicia to the City of Brussels in 1999, in honour of the pilgrims en route towards Santiago de Compostella, and erected next to the Porte de Hal/Hallepoort (Gate of Halle), departing point of the pilgrims.

Pilgrim's Menhir
Pilgrim's Menhir submitted by Alta-Falisa : Menhir from Galicia, reworked by the sculptor Manolo Paz, presented to the City of Brussels and erected near the Porte de Hal/Hallepoort (Halle Gate), formerly the southernmost gate of the middle-ages city walls. That gate, that menhir is the departure point for pilgrims towards Santiago de Compostella, 2200 km to go. (Vote or comment on this photo)

Pilgrim's Menhir
Pilgrim's Menhir submitted by Alta-Falisa : Apparently, the first stele (1999) did not include the version in Galician. Therefore, a more complete stele was superimposed. Someone, particularly curious, insisted on reading the first version. (Vote or comment on this photo)
