Menhir in Côte-d'Or
Remains of chalky eroded stone in fields 3.5 Km South of town. In the Musee Du Chatillonais there is an etching from the mid to late 19 century CE which show it to be about 3 Meters tall and still upright. It is now just under 2 meters by 2 meters in size and about 50 cm thick. It is easy to assume that it was hit by heavy agricultural equipment over the last 150 years. Shame 333 Meters altitude
edit 7-2016
"In the 1990s, the stone was still erect in a pine forest near the edge. This wood was razed and the block has been spilled on this occasion. It was recovered in 2009, a hundred meters from the location.
Its Neolithic origin is questioned."
