Ancient Village or Settlement in Syria

Tell Shoukh Tahtani was a small settlement site in the 3rd and 2nd millennia BCE, or Bronze age, until it developed into a garrison during the Iron Age. It is currently being excavated due to rising Euphrates water on account of the Tishrine Dam construction.
