One of the 4 survived Boris stones was brought to Moscow from Belarus at the end of 19th century. In 1920s it was installed in Kolomenskoe, now a beautiful recreation area in the capital of Russia around the UNESCO-listed museum reserve.
Text from information board:
A granite boulder marks the border of the lands of the Grand Prince of Polotsk Boris in the headwaters of the Northern Dvina River.
The stone has a cross and an inscription "Lord, protect your servant Boris" carved into it in the 12th century.
It is highly possible the stone was hallowed by Slavs long before it was crossed.
