Ancient Village or Settlement in Syria.Aleppo is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities on Earth. Successive civilisations built temples and fortress on what is now called the citadel. Remains of an Asyrian Temple were found under the current Islamic fortress.
Abraham is said to have lived here after leaving Ur on the way to the land of Canaan.
