Stone Fort or Dun in Jordan
Qasr Deir Al-Kahf is a small Roman fort in northern Jordan, a few miles south of the Syrian border. Constructed of basalt blocks in the fourth century CE, the fort was a walled enclosure of two story rooms surrounding a central courtyard which contained a cement-lined cistern. A modern fence surrounds the site today, but there are gaps to get inside. No entrance fee is necessary. The site is in the modern village of Dayer Al Kahf. Roadside parking is available.
