Jdeta Dolmen (1)
Jdeta Dolmen (1) submitted by ammanamba : Dolmen in Jdeta region. (Vote or comment on this photo)
Region in Jordan. This area is south-east directly outside the village of Jdeta, on the northern side of the Wadi al Yabis. The village is east of Kafr abil, which is supposed to have many more dolmen fields and can be seen from there. The field is directly ouside the village on a hilltop overlooking the Wadi. It is highly visible in the open fields and thus no dolmen has its roofing slabs still in place. There are at least 20 dolmens and all have been robbed. Apart from a possible alignment close by there are no other related structures. The dolmen have small chambers but rather big slabs. Normally built on elevated terraces none are obviously visible but the possibility is not excluded.
