That's the area known for its "Fairy Chimneys", the underground cities are really at Derinkuyu and Kaymakli.

YouTube (not mine) - pictures of landscapes and settlements in Cappadocia, with an excellent soundtrack from Tangerine Dream. Not sure if this is the correct entry on which to post it, but worth a look for some amazing views.
