Ancient Village or Settlement in Cyprus

Ancient Phenician City in Cyprus, with Agora and temples. Following the victory of Alexander the Great over the Persians and tyre, around 330 BCE, Amathus became progressively more helenised.

Cyprus was an important source of Copper to the Phoencians which processed the ore into finished products on the mainland for resale all over the known world.
