Ankara Temple of Augustus and Roma
Ankara Temple of Augustus and Roma submitted by AlexHunger : Front view of Ankara Temple of Augustus and Roma. Before that it was a temple of the Galatian/local gods Kybele and Nem. The temple is in bad shape due to earthquakes and can not be entered. (Vote or comment on this photo)
Ancient Temple in Ankara Province, Turkey

Classic Helenistic temple. There is some conjecture the Temple predates the dedication to Augustus and might have originaly built to Nem and Kybele. Nearby on the citadelle, there are also well preserved Roman Baths.

Eathquakes have seriously damaged the structure and it looks like it could cave in any second. Access is therefore prohibited. (Vote or comment on this photo)
