Ancient Temple in Nubia
Roman era Egyptian temple dedicated to Isis, Harpocrates and Osiris as well as two local brothers.
As lake Nasser was rising following the building of the Aswan High Dam, the Temple was donated to the Metropolitan museum in New York in recognition for US aid in saving other temples.
The original location, depicted here, was 77 Km South of Aswan on the left bank of the River Nile, close to the ancient town of Tutzis.
