The largest and most magnificent ancient temple in Egypt. Dedicated to Amun Ra, with subsidiary temples to other gods surrounding it.

Largely built by Pharaohs of the 18th and 19th Dynasties with some Middle Kingdom origins and later additions. Connected by a 2.5 km long Avenue of Sphinxes to the Temple of Mut and Temple of Luxor.
