ModernExplorers visited on 10th Jun 2012 - their rating: Cond: 3 Amb: 3 Access: 4 Interesting site in the middle of Turkey. Located at a spring with some large megalithic carvings and some artwork that resembles ancient artwork from different continents

Twobuffs visited on 1st Sep 2011 - their rating: Amb: 5 Access: 5 What is fundamentally obvious about this site is that it is still being used today, maybe as it has been used for '000's of years. There is an atmosphere here that generates a "feel" often removed by newer surroundings, commercialisation, tourism etc.

I've just received this comment on YouTube:

"They (the Konya museum/municipality) have absolutely destroyed this site. The monument is no doubt still there, but in 2011, they cut down all the trees and vegetation and replaced it with brown dirt, stacked a bunch of rectangular stone blocks with cut edges on the walls, and surrounded the whole thing with a beautiful barbed wire fence. it is an atrocity to history, archaeology, and aesthetics in general."

Doesn't sound good.
