Stone Fort or Dun in Sudan

Former Egyptian mud brick fortress outpost on the West bank of the Nile the border of Nubia definately established by Senusret III (12th dynasty), around the year 1860 BCE, but possibly as early as the reign of Sneferu in the 4th dynasty around 2600 BCE, as suggested by various ancient graphity.
The fortress held up to 3500 people and was set up up like a town.
The only surviving element is the temple of Horus which was built by Hatshepsut, which was moved to Khartoum upon the flooding of Lake Nasser.
