Fontpadelle menhir quarry submitted by ocdolmen : Site in Languedoc:Lozère (48) The Fontpadelle menhir quarry was one of the extraction sites near the Bondons menhirs site. Nearest menhirs are 300 metres away, but some are also about 4 - 5 kilometres out. Photo of one of the 7 extracted stones that was not carried to the Bondons site. All Bondons monoliths are in granit but the stones were brought to limestone "causses " (ie highlands) ... (Vote or comment on this photo)
