alchemille visited on 26th Jun 2014 - their rating: Cond: 5 Amb: 5 Access: 5 This is not the real location of this menhir which was transported here during the work on the A75 Clermont- Montpelier. Some vandals have broken the small simple of objects found in the area of Mons and Saint Flour.

1 km North of Massiac, on the A 75 higway area "Chalet" coming from Clermont (no acces from the South) this standing stone has been removed on this area so as to be preserved when A 75 works took place: this item was located at "La Chassagne" village, in the municipality of Chaliers (15 - Cantal) east of Loubaresse and river Truyère.

Tall= 280 cms--Top= bevelled

Le hameau de la Chassagne d'où est originaire ledit menhir se trouve sur la commune de Chaliers (15 - Cantal), à l'est de Loubaresse et de la rivière La Truyère.
