To reach this site is necessary to go by car to Cala s'Almonia and find a footpath south of the Town (south of a little creek that wears the same name). This footpath is a hiker's route that leads directly to the place known as Punta des Baus, where the site is. The beginning of the way is a bit difficult to find because it is obscured by a rockfall. It is necessary to walk on this footpath for around 1,5 km to find the first ruins. The site is open and accessible all year round with no restrictions, but the footpath is not very well conditioned. It is inside a very big property called Rafal des Porcs (Pigs's Shed) that has a lot of prehistoric archaeological sites.
The site itself is very close to a sea cliff, a very rare feature we can only find in a very few iron age settlements. Most of the prehistoric settlement at the Balearic Isles (Mallorca and Minorca) are located in flat inner lands suitable for agriculture.
The site is regularly preserved, but is ruined, abandoned and mostly covered by vegetation. There is one square talaiot (tower-like iron age monument) north of the site that is the best preserved structure. It preserves the corridor that once lead to the inner chamber, but today is obscured by the crumble of the facade over it. The inner chamber is relatively clean of debris and vegetation and the column is fully preserved, but fallen over towards its south wall. The structure is 2,5 meters high. South of the first talaiot there are several other structures.
100 meters to the south of the first talaiot there is a wall that encloses an area where no other remains are visible because of the dense vegetation that covers the entire area. The enclosure is rectangular but all the south east line is either lost or never made (there is a modern building close to it). The enclosure has an entrance approximately at the middle part of the south west wall, but only the cover slabs are visible due to the debris.
A mound made by little stones and soil south of the enclosure covers a wall made of big stones that might be the remains of another talaiot.
