Broch or Nuraghe in Balearic Isles (Mallorca / Majorca)
This archaeological site is located at Son Morell (spelled Son Morei), north east of the town of Muro. The name of the site, Sa Font, means 'The Fountain' in catalan.
There is an isolated circular talaiot (an Iron Age tower-like monument). The building is 100m away from a public path and is accessible without restrictions. The monument can be difficult to find because it is heavily covered by soil and vegetation, so much that it is not easy even to take good pictures. The Talaiot itself is not very well preserved, none of the typical features of this kind of structures can be seen at this site because the inner chamber is covered with soil. The entrance corridor is neither visible, probably because it is hidden by the vegetation. With the surviving remains, it is not possible to assert that this had always been an isolated monument or once was part of a bigger settlement.
